About Me
From Serving Our Country to Serving Our Community
Meet Samuel Perry
Samuel Perry is a decorated military officer, logistics professional, community leader and family man. Recently retired from the Armed Forces, he has served more than 37 years of honorable military service in the United States Army (25 years) and the United States Marine Corps (12 years). Throughout his distinguished service, he has successfully led large-scale operations and strategic planning. He brought contracting and budget expertise to critical roles coordinating global and interagency operations that strengthened logistics networks, accomplished objectives and ensured mission success both at home and abroad including deployments for Operation Desert Storm, two deployments for Operation Iraq Freedom and two deployments for Operation Enduring Freedom to Afghanistan.

Statement
As a retired member of the federal judiciary with legal careers in government service, I want to ensure that Clark County adopts principles and procedures of good governance. I support an amendment to the Clark County’s Charter to improve the timeliness of the redistricting process by establishing earlier timelines for citizens’ applications and for the County Council’s selection process. The Redistricting Committee should be in place at the time the County receives the new census data. There needs to be a fixed period of time for
the Redistricting Committee to complete its work. Candidates for County Council should know three months before filing week the district in which they live.
